... that the buses had stopped for the night we head back to find out just in case. They were right… the last bus had gone at half 6 which we could have caught if we had come straight to the right place! Another taxi man offered to drive us this time for 55RM (£11) but we decided we would save the money and stay in town. It did mean that we could treat ourselves to a cheeky pizza hut after the last two weeks of rice dishes.

... who owns the hostel is very kind and sent his friend for us to the bus station to get us some tickets and for some reason it wasn’t actually sold out thank goodness. So now we are getting a taxi to the first bus station (which is a decent bus with a luggage hold phew). Then we have to get a local bus to the jetty then the speed boat to the islands so hopefully it will all go smoothly, what a palaver!
