Shahpura House has great service, great rooms, wonderful breakfast, roof top restaurant. A house with history and helpful team. After a crazy day in the Pink City I love to sit near the pool, or sit on my balcony like a Maharani.

A Palace just for you in all the Noise

I fell in love with the place on arrival. Imaculate first class service, welcoming. Though I booked a room with a view sort of speak. Due to a techincal problem the room I should have got was not availble. I was given a little room for one night. Working in hotels and the industry I know it can happen that mechanic and issue can happen.. The next day I was put into a beautiful room that were my favourite colours.. I felt like a Maharani. Everyone went beyond and above helpful. ...My laptop crashed and they kindly tried to repair it. Like most places in India there are crowds, people noise.. which is okay but I w anted to come back to a little quite heaven.. and it was here. The details of the art work, flowers, rooms is just perfect. The pool area is beautiful with a mesh covering it against pigeons. Eric who will great you was very attentive..... I looked foward every evening to relaxing in my room, near the pool and in the restaurant upstairs or just in my lovely bathtub with bubbles.. Can"t wait to get back again

... hurried us up or else we'd miss our elephant ride so back into the chaos of traffic. Amber Fort is yet another WHC built in 1599 where the Raja Man Singh lived with his 12 queens. Now that's a lot of wives! This complex is built from red sandstone and has a temple of white marble and endless amount of history including turkish style baths and known for its Hindu elements of architecture. It overlooks Maota Lake. In the middle of this Lake is a small island that has ...

'water palace' - Jal Mahal. Beautiful palace situated in the middle of
the lake that in the winter is usually dry but monsoon season floods it
every year creating this bizarre tourist attraction. After that we

Tomorrow, we're off to explore the pink city of Jaipur.

Jaymini; Train to Jaipur was horrendous, worst experience of my life. Sleep pattern messed up, had 4 hours sleep over 48 hours and we had to leave the hotel at 4am to get this filthy train. The station stinks of ****, homeless people sleeping there. The train pulls up, I was first on in my group and it was pitch black, tramps sleeping on the seats, had to use my phone light to find our seats. Locals all run ...
