    Great Quiet Location

Shahpura House has great service, great rooms, wonderful breakfast, roof top restaurant. A house with history and helpful team. After a crazy day in the Pink City I love to sit near the pool, or sit on my balcony like a Maharani.

A Palace just for you in all the Noise

I fell in love with the place on arrival. Imaculate first class service, welcoming. Though I booked a room with a view sort of speak. Due to a techincal problem the room I should have got was not availble. I was given a little room for one night. Working in hotels and the industry I know it can happen that mechanic and issue can happen.. The next day I was put into a beautiful room that were my favourite colours.. I felt like a Maharani. Everyone went beyond and above helpful. ...My laptop crashed and they kindly tried to repair it. Like most places in India there are crowds, people noise.. which is okay but I w anted to come back to a little quite heaven.. and it was here. The details of the art work, flowers, rooms is just perfect. The pool area is beautiful with a mesh covering it against pigeons. Eric who will great you was very attentive..... I looked foward every evening to relaxing in my room, near the pool and in the restaurant upstairs or just in my lovely bathtub with bubbles.. Can"t wait to get back again

Driving over to Jaipur today. Should only be a short drive of about 6.5 hours which is good as still suffering from Delhi belly, let's just hope I leave it in Delhi and the drive recovers me!!! Well by lunch we knew that was wishful thinking, good thing lunch wasn’t too flash at the wannabe Starbucks with the slowest service you have ever seen. So into Jaipur at about 4pm and it doesn’t look like the cleanest of ...

... have been useful to have to have let me know in English before having to translate from Hindi! The man helped me select the language in which to continue the transaction and the amount I required and then politely collected my cash from a slot I hadn't seen and handed it over to me to check. Quite why I was so trusting of someone who, in the UK, I would have thought was a tramp sleeping rough in a shelter, I don't know but here we both were and he ...

... 8217;d go under? Very concerning for me.

Problem #3 for me: My clothing. No swim suit. Would this be a wet t-shirt contest here in India? Yikes!

Problem #4 for me: Cold water. I am just not a cold water person! I like to swim and be in water that is at least not cold!

So, what can I do with these thoughts? What is my choice? What should I do? I am such a practical lady. This does not make sense to do ...

... up to the roof of our hotel, we were greeted once again with hospitality and understanding by Harsh's family and friends. This was something that, through all the chaos and confusion, we knew we could rely on. We were aware that some of Harsh's family were a little hesitant about us simply because they had not met us yet. And even though they had already fallen in ...
