Shahpura House has great service, great rooms, wonderful breakfast, roof top restaurant. A house with history and helpful team. After a crazy day in the Pink City I love to sit near the pool, or sit on my balcony like a Maharani.

I fell in love with the place on arrival. Imaculate first class service, welcoming. Though I booked a room with a view sort of speak. Due to a techincal problem the room I should have got was not availble. I was given a little room for one night. Working in hotels and the industry I know it can happen that mechanic and issue can happen.. The next day I was put into a beautiful room that were my favourite colours.. I felt like a Maharani. Everyone went beyond and above helpful. ...My laptop crashed and they kindly tried to repair it. Like most places in India there are crowds, people noise.. which is okay but I w anted to come back to a little quite heaven.. and it was here. The details of the art work, flowers, rooms is just perfect. The pool area is beautiful with a mesh covering it against pigeons. Eric who will great you was very attentive..... I looked foward every evening to relaxing in my room, near the pool and in the restaurant upstairs or just in my lovely bathtub with bubbles.. Can"t wait to get back again

I left the big smoke yesterday in a car with a driver, Ali,and I am now in Jaipur in Rajasthan having spent last night in a lovely traditional hotel, Shahpura House. Having someone to drive you is both good and bad. You go where you want to go but you are also taken places that you did not choose to go such as local businesses which have show rooms …

This is really special. You'd like it too.

... looked out at all the bright blue buildings, making for a very iconic and surreal view of the colourfulness India exhibits so proudly. I might start a petition to get everyone in London to paint their houses blue...I'm sure Boris Johnson would be down with that! We moved from one rooftop restaurant to an even better one for dinner, where a hilarious man told us dramatic accounts of the zip wire around the fort (which apparently Boris himself has been on...of course he has), ...

... a town as disconnected as Jaipur. No where had wifi. McDonald's even only had ten minutes free wifi but you needed a mobile number to connect. We found an Internet cafe which wanted the equivalent of two hours of internet in any other city for the fifteen minutes of internet we required. We ended up at a sony store and looked up showtimes on one of their model computers. We found a theatre, our fourth of the day, that had a screening ...
