... gold smelting show, where the guy melted 3 kilos of gold & poured it to make a gold bar. That was cool unfortunately we couldn't actually touch the gold but we got to see it up close. We were than off to look at the shops & booked our old time photo. We spent up big at this place. Once we did that we went & got lunch at an old style pub which was good & than went & looked around some more. At 2pm we went to the candy making show & about ...
Ballarat, VIC, Australia hyper351... at Bakery Hill McDonalds. Alex hadn't seen Marco since he used to work with him almost 15 years ago at Nailsea and Backwell Leisure Centres. After a quick catch up there Marco took us around to his beautiful home in Buninyong where we were introduced to his lovely wife Emma and their children Elly & Jake. Jackie their jack russell was also pleased to meet us. The evening was spent with beers and lots of talk of old ...
Ballarat, Victoria, Australia therhodesies... same page) If I could write the entire book I would for every word I find is so useful and calming. So thats how I end my day and I walk back to the base. Love and peace I send to you my dear friends.. if u come across this book "The Way to Love" its a interesting read one that opens the mind at a simple level of being in Gods world and in the real world. And even if u don't believe its a good read of ways to live ur life in a simple matter and not a head case matter.
Mailing Rd., Australia carolinesheart... ready to go and Jen was driving I was blessed with the most beautiful sunset I have ever seen.. that was my gift from God. We all arrived at Sophie's, where two more of my new friends (Fay and Willy) showed up to join me for my b-day dinner and they surprised me with more sweets and goodies... yummy.. We all orded and I was shocked....The portions are sooooooo big.... toooo big... oooo so full.... so many people were having birthdays there.. its a place for ...
Melbourne CDB, Australia carolinesheart... of exactly what the town was like with real shops and actors dressed dressed in period costume who help to tell the story of Ballarat and the Eureka Rebellion. We had a fantastic day wandering around the old streets, watching the demonstrations of old local trades such as mining, barrel and wheel making, ironmongery, candle making and dress making. One of our favourites was a demonstration of how they used to make sweets. The traditional methods are still used today and ...
Ballarat, Australia laurieandjilly... Umgebung auf einer Decke, während ein Kokaburra im Hintergrund lachte und die fliegenden Hunde durch die Luft flogen mit ihrem gelegentlichem gegackere. Toll. Oh, yeah, they showed Mullholland Drive. I was excited to see it again, since it had been ages, but my jet lag and the red wine sort of worked against me paying it enough attention. Ach ja, es wurde Mullhand Drive gezeigt. Ich war aufgeregt es entlich noch einmal zu sehen, aber die ...
Melbourne, Australia rootabergerHappy New Year everyone! Can't believe its 2007 already! Hope you all had a good Christmas and a decent New Year as they always seem to be disappointing. Not this year tho, we managed to watch the fireworks shoot off of Sydney Harbour Bridge from The Rocks which was pretty impressive. Since I last wrote I've climbed Sydney Tower which was so high it actually made the Harbour Bridge look small! We did a road trip to Melbourne and a road trip along the Great Ocean Road ...
Sydney, Australia cloutman22This was our last day on the Gt O Rd, which is a shame as it really was lovely driving down it... with clear blue skies, multi-coloured blue seas and golden sands, what more could you ask for apart for a few days longer? I don't have the answer! We arrived at Geelong as few hours ...
Geelong, Australia sjw_uk... But having said that, we had a great Disneyland day and also did find out some facts. For instance, how many of you knew that the biggest nugget of gold dug out around here weighed 68kg. Even allowing for the ozzie exaggeration factor that is still a big lump of gold. We've panned for gold, we've mined for gold, we've watched gold being melted, in fact, you name it, we've ...
Ballarat, Australia chezgra... Queensland. I have purchased eight of the thirty plus topographic maps and have six more on order. The maps 100.000:1 km scale and i could only source them from the glass house in Ballarat, it is a government departmental office. The maps cost nine dollars nifty each but i got a discount on a few because they were a few years old....hopefully this will not be of too much bother. Some areas were last surveyed in the early to mid 70's. Looking down on ...
