... their way down the turnpike - scaring the bee gees out of me – and with the 70 mile speed limit, we drove at 75 miles per hour and that seemed like only a suggestion to all the other cars that sped past us making us feel like we were going 45mph.

Within 10 miles of Miami Beach, what song starts to play, but Peter, Paul & Mary singing "Leaving on a Jet Plane" ...

... US, Miami does not seem to be affected. Toorak is looking rather dull and like one of the poorer suburbs in comparison.The hop on hop off bus was the feature of day 3 in Miami. Great value and a tour of all the sites both in south beach and downtown Miami. Traffic was slightly chaotic due to a scheduled 24 hour music festival but viewing the music fans provided entertainment as we waited.
We loved Miami and it vibrance. Tomorrow morning we head to Vegas.

Aside from being super bummed about not being able to make my trip, I needed to find a way to get some money back! So I joined a travel forum, Virtual Tourist...what an amazing travel community. Seriously, one user even contacted the hotel where I had the reservation and tried getting me a refund! STRANGERS HELPING STRANGERS!!!

... la mare, doncs, va, una paella. Ens diu, la farem per un i així en mengeu tots. Perfecte. Porten la paella.....al menys era per 6 persones, amb dues cues de llagosta adornant-la i 2 potes gegants de cranc d’Alaska. La paella va ser boníssima, res a veure amb la que fa la mama, pero el problema va ser quan van portar el compte. Quant us sembla que ens va costar la brometa? Va, a veure si algu ho endevina.
