Today's port is Kerkira in Corfu which is the second largest of the Greek islands in the Ionian Sea. The ship docked about 2.5 kilometres from the old town so we hopped into a taxi as it was a bit hot to walk the distance. It is a beautiful town with narrow streets and alleyways and lots of shops - especially clothes shops - which gave The Management plenty of places to visit. ... the other side of the town to the old fort. The city was built on two mountains with the old fort on one and the new fort (still several hundred years old) on the other mountain. It was hot today, it's hot every day but it is particularly hot today and of course we waited until around lunchtime to hike up the mountain. ... at the hotel at the time too the night ended with a late night swim at the beach - definitely not a night we'll forget anytime soon. Our last day in Corfu was spent once again relaxing by the pool and beach before heading to Igoumenitsa for a one night stay in a hotel before departing extremely early the next morning on a 24 hour ferry ride from Greece back to Italy for our next stop in ...
