After 3 months staying at my brother's cottage In Sioux Narrows, Ontario we headed out today towards Eastern Canada. It was a busy time over the last 3 months while I assisted my family's with their health issues and Ken provided the brawn to assist my brother with cottage maintenance chores. The days are definitely getting colder here and we have to our little space heater going at night in the motorhome when the temperature has been down to 5 degrees Celsius. We are driving south ...

We made reservations for two nights at the Falcon Lake Beach campground which is in Whiteshell Provincial Park and it is situated on the border to Ontario. The landscape is flat and has a forest of mixed types of trees. Very nice!!!!

We also noted that the Trans Canada trail runs through the campground so we decided to do a fairly long walk this morning after all the sitting in the car we've been doing. We walked ...

... vacant and failing properties at Devil's Gap where the First Nations and the leaseholders had not reached a renewal agreement. Back at the dock we said good bye to the staff as they packed our frozen fish in logos cooler bags along with wild rice and fish coating. They really know how to look after their clientele here!! All in all it was a wonderful experience and we really appreciated the opportunity to get to know the Gyles family ...

shines) and is much faster than using my small motorcycle charger.
Relaxed for a couple of days reading, fishing, cooking via fire and
playing some Scrabble. Besides squirrels and chipmunks to keep Bogie
occupied, all we espied, wildlife wise, was a deer.
