Had to get some pics of this rest area, complete with a kids playground with rubber floor. Couldn't get any pics of playground, as there were kids constantly on it. Heading out of the rest area at 1pm. Again mileage 1170 for the trip so far. Still on 80W. Going to pick up 29N shortly. Got a Prius in the fast lane.... Not any more. Smh! 11pm in the middle of Iowa. We knew this would be a long travel day and we were right. We drove due west from St. Louis to Kansas City (which is not in Kansas) and then turned north along the Iowa/Nebraska border to reach our current campsite in Iowa for a total of just over 8 hours.
