It's our last day in Palma, and we're off to Chic restaurant tonight at 6.15pm and hope to be back in our room by 7.30pm or soon after as the Gangways close then and we're hoping for a healthy and competitive Mallorca Marathon.

We left Nice at about 7.30pm last night and arrived at Palma Mallorca at about 2pm this afternoon. First impressions? Dump No 3. Not quite so many high rises, but still pretty dumpy. Apparently though, some drivers still end up in the middle of the roundabouts because they drive too fast. Palma is not only the centre of government and business on the island but is also the tourist capital. There are many visitors each year that either fly in or come in on cruise ships. Seeing ...

... It is peaceful and serene with only the locals birds to disturb the peace in the mornings.

Irene says the countryside of Majorca reminds her of parts of Australia. The countryside is very Spanish with dry and rocky soil at this time of the year.

We set out this morning to see the local large town of Manacor. The church we discovered is a good example of the style of churches here on Majorca. It is almost like a cathedral in size with high vaulted ...
