... were sat in the road, had a water buffalo walk out in front of me but obviously I was aware of it as I have no intention of being smeared across the side of a water buffalo! I hit a massive butterfly, which was such a shame, but unavoidable and had to wait while a chicken crossed the road. Ironic I thought. I did start to wonder why he was, but decided it best not to go down that route.
There’s a beautiful waterfall here called the Seven Wells, with funnily ...
... than the one of yesterday. The crew came back from the cable car, and wanted to go to the waterfall I had just been to (bugger), so I checked out another beach I had seen which was not mentioned in any recommendations.
I found out why.
Although the beech looked great, and was totally barren, it did not take long to realise why it was barren. While wading in the sea, I saw a jellyfish wash past me. Then another. Once my mind had been trained to the shape of it, I ...

picked up another instructor and she was really nice. She has a
daughter the same age as me living in France (what a life) and a son
who is in his second last year of school. She was Irish/packistani
and had extremely good english. Along the way they told us a story of
a guy who went to the waterfalls yesterday (same as us) and got stung
by a scorpion and his foot swelled up and he had to go to ...
... after each day of adventure. The most scenic view in the resort was that of the Thai restaurant, which was circular and situated right at the end of the resort, providing the best view of the open sea. We ordered cocktails and relaxed through the night while the live band crooned melodious oldies.
The next day, we had booked an island hopping tour. A rickety and rusty car came to fetch us to this dilapidated hut, where we huddled around ...
... bodies. A real treat to see. Han then waited until another boat left and said we would see something we had never seen before. He threw some bread into the water and a couple of little monkeys jumped in and swam after the bread. A sight to behold. The next stop was to see the eagles. Not as large as our bald eagle, still very majestic. Some of the boats would and reverse their engines and rev them with water shooting up. This was a signal ...
Langkawi, Kedah, Malaysia nedkOur morning didnt go at all to plan! We checked out of the Malibest really early, so that we had enough time to get our boat to Ko Lipe. I'd brought the boat ticket from Tigerline on the net, however the paper work didnt state which harbour it left from- nor did the website. We assumed it must be the main harbour, so asked the reception to order us a taxi. She informed us that there were taxi's outside. We couldn't find a ...

Langkawi, Malaysia icarver... general and sadly,.. went to bed! Pathetic display by the near 30 year old!!! In a way, i was glad, as beer in Malaysia is equal to western prices, so i probably saved myself a lot of precious cash and didn't repeat painfull events of Indonesia! Having got up on New years day,i left the hostel as the 'fun' people were pretty much coming back from thier night out. With my sober head held high and my pack on, i proceeded to the bus station and made the 5 ...

It takes about 15 minutes and when we get there, we find a hotel that is being redeveloped and little else. We are ushered into the restaurant where we have lunch. While we are waiting, we speculate that the builders are in the kitchen as a sideline. The food is good when it arrives, so the bricklayers are obviously dual trained. The view would be spectacular but there is ...
langkawi, Malaysia travelburnett... and the waves had picked up, even getting on the boat was a challenge onto itself. The boat stopped at the first beach and another couple going as far as we were, then ventured to say (as the waters looked calm towards where we were going) 'that's it for getting wet'. Less then a minute later, a wave hit and we, our luggage and everything else was soaking wet. At 6pm, we were crawled up the beach in Railay and had a drink to celebrate our arrival into Thailand!!
