... than we could get at home. We did notice Langkawi duty free was substantially cheaper.
Now certainly not on par with Singapore's airport hotel (that place is amazing) but certainly good and gave us a good chance to get Amelia to sleep before our flight at 10:20pm.
Only real complaint was that it wasn't well soundproofed as far as connecting rooms and the doors shutting was really loud, but the beds were comfy and their service was amazing. We hadn't ...

... the numerous duty free shops. We hired a car for 1 day and drove around the island, as there is no public transport here. We went on the cable car which runs for 950 mt with the last part being very steep. Then we went to a waterfall, which didn't have too much water flowing over it as it is the dry season. Arrived at Langkawi International Airport at just after 9pm. So much drama!! (Taken from my Facebook post) We had a quick exit off our half an hour delayed flight from Kathmandu to KL then were met by a Malaysian escort to take us straight to the gate of our next flight to Langkawi (thank goodness or we would still be lost)....she wasn't walking too fast which was a good sign! We got straight through immigration and security (with no queue or awkward pat down!). ...

... that one though. At the top of the peak there is a famous bridge which Langkawi is known for however like many things I have come across in Malaysia, they build some amazing feat of structural engineering then when it breaks or becomes unsafe they leave it and never bother to maintain it so we were unable to access the bridge due to safety issues.

So after what started as a couple of days stop over before heading to Thailand turned into a 10 day jaunt of some free places ...

... you wouldn't know. It was the biggest load of **** I seen on a cruise ship in a long time. She should have stuck to Corrie! The saving grace was that we'd arranged to meet Irene and Roy in there so at least we had a laugh before and after the so called show :-( Back to the cabin for a night cap, an hour back tonight so a good nights sleep to come.
