... their dress code (why do some wear the burka or niqab and others only the hijab - headscarf etc) and also I couldn't upload my daily TravelPod. We did find the best ever eatery here – Secret Recipe. The cakes were amazing – mum was in heaven here!! The chocolate lava cakes were amazing. Mum didn't know what to order – she would had ordered 10 different cakes if she was able to!!

Our last stop was Langkawi Parade, a mall just down from the hotel. ...

... and it is about 30-45 minutes into Kuah. There are snorkelling tours, a cable car and also into the marshlands but these are a bit strenuous for Helen and uneven for walking. We have taken a bus to Eagle Point where the local traders have paid to have a large eagle constructed as a tourist attraction. It is about 12 metres tall with a wingspan of some 22 metres. Impressive – but that is all there is !!

... in house, but also feel floor shaking as other ppl were crossing livingroom floor. We changed, got shower after the flight and walk outside where the owner invited us all to Christmas Eve tea and snacks (consisting of a wild boar, tea and gummy bears-type of sweets). Flights etc. will worn you down, so around 10.30 we thank our hosts and head to bed hoping for a quick game of chess and sleep... We did not see it coming... Around 11pm more ...

... together exploring the island and its nightlife. Also here we hired some bikes and drove around the island. We visited some nice waterfalls, beaches and enjoyed some of the nicest seafood that Langkawi has to offer. Our stay in Malaysia has came to an end and I have some really nice memories of the country and its wildlife. After a few day's we have booked a boat ticket to the beautiful island Koh Lipe in Thailand were our next adventure will ...
