      ... to Mykonos and back in one day required a very early flight from Thessaloniki to Athens, a connecting flight from Athens to Mykonos, and then a retracing of those steps in the evening, from Mykonos to Athens and finally Athens back to Thessaloniki.       ... face war. The answer was 'No', and Greece was attacked.

      In Naxos Town today all the primary and secondary school children marched and drummed their way to a Cenotaph and laid wreaths. Tomorrow is a public holiday and the whole town celebrates.

      ... and we all went to the beach.
      Ben and Rami went out on the jet ski .The jet ski owner was unwilling to trust it to Ben alone even though he has a car,boat and plane licence!
      Then all four of us went in the water together. I even got in to my neck eventually and then stayed in the longest. There were a number of areas with warm currents and lovely gentle waves about 20cm high. Just my sort of beach!!

      ... beach, that had seen better days. It has closed due to the financial crisis, as we saw a lot of that effect in Greece. We arrived here in the shoulder season, and it was still quite cold. interestingly lots of people either swim, or walk around with coats on, I think they are a bit confused with the weather too.
