Leaving the Ship – First Day in Venice

We were eating breakfast on the Lido Deck by 8 AM and ready to disembark at 9 Am to
search for our luggage we had placed in the corridor of the ship the night before. We found it and we headed to the Vaporetto (the water bus) dock dragging our belongings with us. Upon …

Lake Como is beautiful, and we barely scratched the surface of things to do …

Promising beginnings with only a short queue leading to the main doors, followed by disappointment when we realised the doors didn't open till 9.45.

... out in recognition of a plaza that he couldn’t possibly have been in before (never having been to Venice before). "I know this place! There’s… there’s a doorway into the Basilica just around that corner, and a back gate for the tower just hidden past that construction gate. I know this place, I did my best sniper-shooting from that balcony over there!" As it turns out, the makers of the stealth video game Assassin’s Creed are incredibly historically accurate.
