Serena Majestic Hotel Residenc Montesilvano

Six hour train from Venice to Pescara. Nice ride along coast but this is a beach town with not much open in October. In addition, when we questioned the hotel clerk about sightseeing he immediately replied that most of the town was bombed in World War II and not rebuilt. Only stayed one night on the way to Naples and the highlight was a great meal!

... something interesting again... Went out to dinner last night. (28th). We wandered the local city and pretty much everything was closed and we didnt find a restuarant for over an hour. Europeans are such home bodies. We saw a crowd of teenieboppers hanging outside a club. I guess that is the only thing to do in this city. ... of Venice and took a uneventful train down south to Pescara, Italy. As we got closer we saw more and more beaches. Long ones with beautiful blue ocean stretching beyond. And finally we arrived at a midsized city/town with warm air and the smell of the sea to greet us. The views from all around we're gorgeous and funny enough reminded both of us the views from the YWAM base in Kona. We were able to stay with a beautiful Italian family on thier new ...

... Mai incolo, uitandu-ma la banci, la fluturasii de pe banci, imi cade privirea pe alta tipa care se uita fix la mine, imi zambeste calduros si imi spune "ciao" (sau "salve", nu mai tin minte). Ii raspund nauca, ma intreb daca o fi esarfa rosie de la gat de vina (acu vreo luna si juma mi s-a intamplat o chestie asemanatoare si am dat vina pe fularul rosu facut de bunica special pentru mine) si ma indrept spre biblioteca, hotarata sa-i fac pe cei de acolo sa-mi ...

E vineri si ne trebuia o iesire din oras. Imi trebuia o iesire, dar am ajuns sa nu plec singura, ci cu Egle. :) Plecarea a fost hotarata pentru 13.40, ca sa am timp sa merg si pe la cursul de Arte vizuale in contemporainetate - iar Egle avea de gand sa-si faca o baie. ... Da ce repede v-ati decis! - ..!! - O sa fie copii? - Nu, nu e nici un copil. Avem toate in jur de douazeci. Imi cere numele (il dau pe ala de familie, il spun pe litere), ii spun si prenumele (ii spun ca e echivalentul la Giovanna si trece acolo Giovanna) si : - Va rog sa reveniti cu 2-3 zile inainte de 13 mai pentru o reconfirmare. Si in caz de ploiae sa stiti ca nu se va tine. Cum era faza aia...when in Rome, do like the romans?

... Sasso. We can only rave about it! Every 5 minutes we had to stop the car to take more photos. The views and scenery were quite breathtaking. We drove up, down and around the mountains, through some gorgeous old towns and to a very large lake. This area is just over two hours, by car, from Rome and well worth the visit. In bucatarie, la o cana de ceai cu Eva. Ne uitam la televizor. Nu stiu cum ajungem sa vorbim iar despre vecin si despre umbrela. - Dar stii, Ioana, ce li s-a intamplat unor spanioloaice? Au plecat la Napoli cu masina propietarului si le-a fost furata! In prima seara! Masina nu era noua, dar acu trebuie sa plateasca fiecare 600 de euro. ... and getting a serious tan. We have learned all in all, that Italy public transportation is quite poor at collecting. Which is good for us, cause we can splurge for that extra liter or two of house wine. But seriously, we try to pay and can't and then are encouraged not to.
