... whole way with some minor separation on the hills. We finished well within the cut off without over exerting ourselves.

At the finish, there’s an athletes village with lots of food and drink (and a merry-go-round) and now we’re back at the hotel, cleaning up and resting before we have to go up to the briefing for tomorrow.

Just hope we get some sleep tonight otherwise everything is going ...

... ended at a leisure park on a mountaintop - tube slides, bouncing castles, MTB, horses, and more; crowds and not much hope of a camp. Coffee and down again. ... it would be to go up. So we did. With no idea what was up top we took the 10 Euro ride up thinking we could grab a coffee from the hotel and enjoy the vista. The ride up was spectacular: beautiful rocky outcrops, mountain and valley views from every angle from our cute yellow cable car. Once on top we were in for more of a surprise, this place wasn't just a hotel, it was a village, a village by the name of Montserrat and home to the Monestir de Monsterrat (monastery) and all ...

... bends, not the best bike to try and lean and at one point he managed to catch the engine bars. A more upright position was adopted after that episode. We stopped for coffee and Greg saw a baguette with sausages and was tempted but didn't attacked, good boy. We cracked on and stopped for lunch in the mountains and had a variety of foods, omelette in a baguette, pork burger, ham and cheese baguette and some ...
