      ... sign copies of his book so that settled it for us, we bought his book and the boys had him sign it and take a photo with him.
      We headed out back to the boat/ferry and back to mainland. Was a really god afternoon and we all really enjoyed it.
      Wandered back down towards Fishermans Wharf and found a pub like place to have dinner called "jacks".

We finished the day with a casual stroll up Taylor Street to home.       ... and no one was ever executed at Alcatraz although there were several suicides and deaths from disease and natural causes. After returning to the mainland I wanted to revisit some of places we had seen from the bus but didn't get to stop at. Looking at the map is very deceptive.
