    Anyway it was back to civilisation, the mainland for a burger at Hard Rock Cafe and a 5 km walk back to Lefty's for some refreshments and fluid retention before we head out on our last night in Frisco.

    Dinner was back at the Italian rest called La Ottavo vii another winner so full as a goog we headed home for a coffee and a cupcake before lights out and we're out of here

    ... off we headed out to Market Street for some serious shopping. Actually, despite a valiant effort we (luckily!) didn't really buy too much given that we'd done a lot of shopping at earlier stops so we came out relatively unscathed.     ... moment (over 6 miles), before returning the car at the airport. The great transit system (known as the BART) got us to within a mile of the hotel and an ancient (James Taylor soundalike) taxi driver got us the rest of the way. Total travel time for about 240 miles - 11 hours.

    A meal & a bottle later and off to bed....happy Monday all you Brits.

    ... a boat to alcatraz...the notorious prison on 'The Rock'. Here the bird man of alcatraz, ned kelly and al capone did time. The film 'Escape from Alcatraz' is a famous movie about the escape attempt that was made here. No one knows if they made it or not!
