... was probably my favourite place in Seoul, perhaps it was because i happened to get there at the changing of the guards, which i have to say was impressive, seeing all the people in traditional clothing and the banners, what i found out was that the pallace is massive, you could easily spend a few hours here. Next stop was the fol museum, i did not get to see a lot as it closed just after i got there but it looked interesting.

Dinner ended up taking about two and a half hours to eat, but it was really nice. Since SeAhn and I hadn’t really known each other that well from the Egypt trip, it gave us a chance to get a bit more acquainted. The DMZ
Tuesday morning was an early start as we had pre-booked the DMZ tour. The Demilitarised zone (DMZ) is the area which lies between North and South Korea. We were very intrigued to go on this tour as little is known about North Korea and it's dictatorship. The area around the DMZ has been turned into a tourist attraction with a number of sights/exhibitions.

... And on a non-foggy day, we might have been able to see some of that. Sadly, today was not that day, we had to make due with vague glimpse of a field and mountains in the distance. It was interesting to note that there was a yellow "Photo Line" painted on the ground several feet back from the edge of the observatory platform. Sightseeing in Seoul
... Police buses lined the streets on both sides. It was quite the site to see.
I saw the Statue of King Sejong the Great and went in the underground museum. It's right in the middle of the city surrounded by huge skyscrapers.
It rained a little as I walked and I swear it was a little acidic. It burned my eyes. No wonder everyone was using umbrellas for misty rain.
