... too. We then caught a train through some fake desert villages where actors jumped up and down pretending to be desert warriors. Once the train went past, they sat back down and waited for the next one. We then caught the Viking war ships again, back to the edge of the desert. For the final leg, we tobogganed down the dunes and then caught the cable car back across the valley. My journey through the Gobi Desert couldn’t have been better.

We got on the bus a few hundred meters from the front of the train station in an empty bus. It seemed the driver stopped with his door directly in front of us so we could get our backpacks, and us, on the bus ahead of everyone else! ... Plan, die sich danach genüsslich mit uns haben volllaufen lassen, wir haben zusammen gesungen, getanzt und Spaß gehabt! Richtig toller Abend!!

Am nächsten Morgen gings dann in die Wüste, leider war alles sehr sehr "tourisiert", sodass von dem eigentlichen Wüstenfeeling nicht allzu viel aufkam. It was most likely a barley based congee that was red rather than the white soup most tour group members were familiar with. To be honest, it looked and tasted like prison food. A soupy gruel with more water than substance to fill the stomach. I was still hungry after my breakfast.

This was our first time of the entire trip to buy essential things such as water which we were really in need of; since the bus ride to the desert would be about 3 hours so it was good that we were able to get snacks.
