... too. We then caught a train through some fake desert villages where actors jumped up and down pretending to be desert warriors. Once the train went past, they sat back down and waited for the next one. We then caught the Viking war ships again, back to the edge of the desert. For the final leg, we tobogganed down the dunes and then caught the cable car back across the valley. My journey through the Gobi Desert couldn’t have been better.

Final day in Inner Mongolia

It was most likely a barley based congee that was red rather than the white soup most tour group members were familiar with. To be honest, it looked and tasted like prison food.
