... very interesting life , until her death in her 90's. One of the first feminists. The scenery was varied and beautiful, with snow covered mountains in the background. We also drove along the edge of the 3rd largest lake in Japan, Lake Inawashiro. On our return to Nihonmatsu we checked into our Ryokan where we we reunited with the luggage we shipped from Narita. ... spare bit of land hosting a rice paddy. The farmers were all busy tilling the soil with tractors fitted with iron extension rims to get a grip in the soft mud.
