First stages of planning
... s why this year I'd decided to "test the water" a bit by travelling alone to Chiang Mai, Thailand for two weeks in November 2012. Everyday I'd talk to people about their travelling experiences and get some advice from them. I don't know if I was surprised or not, or maybe I was not expecting it, but people are so willing to help a fellow traveller out. Even though I wasn't travelling anywhere myself.

The rain in Spain fall mainly on this marina!

Saturday 3rd and it's the party day already. Anna and Rez arrived in the afternoon to help decorate the hotel room. A quick change back in Bexhill and then we were driving over to the party at 6.30pm.

We tried to land Thunderbird 3 but we could not get quite close enough to miss the jellyfish and get ashore. Honestly, it was that bad!
As the day wore on we decided to have an afternoon sail around the 2 islands as the wind picks up nicely. So we set off and had a brilliant start with the sails up and were making good progress.
