Senggigi Beach Hotel Lombok Mataram

Hmmm..akhirnya gw bisa menjejakkan kaki di Lombok...Honeymoon kali ini telah di plan 3 bulan yang lalu.... tempat2 yg kita datangi : 1. Kota Mataram >>> ibukotanya prov nusa tenggara barat..n sbg kota administratif 2. Kota Cakranegara >>> kota yg dijadikan kota bisnisnya NTB 3. Pantai Kuta.....pantai yg masih perawan di selatan pulau lombok 4. Sasak Village ....perkampungan asli susku sasa, suku asli pulau lombok 5. Pantai Senggigi...............susnsetnya luar biasaaaaaaaaa...

Wow! What a day. What we thought was a 3-4 hour easy boat trip to our hotel at Sengiggi Beach, Lombok turned out to be a mammoth 9 hour journey with multiple small, crammed boat journeys, storms and rain at sea, a short stop as someone dove in to cut off ropes that got tangled in the rudder, trekking through rushing water and a bus ride over the mountains of Lombok! but we've made it to our lovely room with 2 showers to choose from - not really the beach bungalow we envisaged but we can hear ...

We're sitting at a table on the beach with a Mai Tai cocktail & Heinneken and awaiting our freshly bbq'd snapper and prawns, while watching distant lightning. The 4-piece band is playing some very mellow (and excellent) tunes as we sit under a big fig type tree with lights, listening to the small waves on the reef ... The grilled snapper was excellent and the lightning got better but we got tired. So we have headed back tot he room for a Maker's Mark bourbon and to ring Andy for her birth...

Still at Sengiggi Beach Hotel for our 3rd night. It wil be a week tomorrow since we left! So much and so little has happened. We are both so tired at the moment - maybe its the heat plus still recovering from the hectic month before we left?!? Today we slept in despite going to bed pretty early. After starting the day with another scrumptious smorgasboard breakfast, we hired some snorkels to explore the reef off the beach of the hotel. After sometime in finding fins to fit Tim, we set out and saw heaps of fish - probably at least 20 different types from parrot fish to bright electric blue little ones. Up early this morning (well 7.15) and off to breakfast to be at the bike shop for our $10 each Bike Tour. We set off on bikes that were pretty good (though my brakes didn't work so well and my seat needed tightening after the first hill).
