    We left the hotel at 9am to start our second day's tour of Tainan. Our agenda today was to first visit the salt mountain and museum, then later in the afternoon visit the National History Museum. I was glad that it would not be as agenda jammed and rushed day as yesterday.

    The salt "mountain" and museum turned out to be an amusement park kind of place, built on the old salt producing place. Taiwan no longer produced salt now - it now imports salt from Australia. ...

Fanlu Township.  This takes us further back into the country away from the coast to visit the Eternity Suspension Bridge in Alishan mountain.  There was one bridge at the base of the mountain that did not allow for crossing.  Further up the step of the mountain is the Eternity Suspension bridge with the famous Chinese love eternity saying at both ends of the bridge.  Once we walked across the bridge there were more steps taking us up to the ...
