Just Japan now, off the beaten track, the best way to see it, with a guided and a small group of 11. Starting with Kyoto, an ancient capital off to beautiful towns offering lovely warm baths, even a fish spa! And the water just flows constantly through.

The hostel has put up a sign saying "typhoo approaches" this offers me no guidance or help. The hostel man offers nothing in the way of help so I take that as "it won't be that bad" despite continuous news footage and the slight panic of other foreigners. I meet some Spanish people and make a plan for tomorrow. Which is a ...

... a some food and a few beers and met two local Japanese girls who showed us round the night-life and took us to some traditional Japanese bars where we ate Japanese BBQ and drank Sake which was pretty cool!

If you're in Southern Kyushu go and spend a couple of days in Kagoshima and visit Mt. Sakurajima. Kagoshima also has a really good looking aquarium with Dolphin shows, which I sadly never got to see.
