Arrival in Taipei

... hours, we walk to a convenience store together. The streets are full of bright lights and hundreds of people riding mopeds and walking through the night market. I buy two bubble teas and a bowl of cold sesame noodles (which is sold at 7-11!), which together costs less than $5. The noodles taste like magic and the bed in my hostel is maybe the most comfortable one I've ever slept on. As I stare out the window, the city glances back. It promises good things.

... then another to Xinbeitou. This area has a hot springs resort. The train was one of the more colourful that we had seen. We had a look at the spa museum, which frankly, wasn’t that interesting.
