went to wulai to river trace the jia jiu liao stream, but with the rains yesterday the supposedly easy river trace seemed pretty extreme. had to abort after about 40 minutes as hit a spot where water was up to my waist and the bottom of my pack was submerged.

Arrived just after 6am, caught the bus into town, ate, and checked in to the hostel. Then, since I was feelig good despite my long flight, got right into things by going to Yangmingshan and climbing Cesing mt and checking out the volcanic activity. Ate cheap wonton soup plus pot stickers at the underground mall.
