Last night we left the Main River behind and entered the Main-Danube Canal. The canal is 171km in length with 16 locks.

We arrive on our floating luxury hotel in Nuremberg at 8am. Nuremberg is the 2nd largest city in the German state of Bavaria with a population of 500000 inhabitants.

... though, and to eat some really good food!  When we went back home, we did some dancing - Disco Fox with Kai, and then played a card game called Dominion with another friend that had come around. I don't think ill ever understand that game in English as I have learnt and understood it in German.  I had been given a big jug of beer too, which I had two sips of and passed on. ... Once the cake was out, it was time for Kai and I to get ready. Lukas had a driving lesson tonight, so Kai and I were going to Rasmus's place for dinner.  Not that I could fit anything in after lunch.  We had burgers, sat in a swinging chair, laughed, met his girlfriend and juggled. ... There was one more gift to unwrap too, as Rasmus and Lukas had thought it appropriate to tie a ribbon around me and my arms...I couldn't move.  It was very strange being 'unwrapped'.  And then we drank beer and Mulled wine, and ate sweets and cakes and talked about EJC, and how I am going to make it to the 2016 one and times gone by.  I know its the end of February, but I had snow, mulled wine, good food and great friends today... ... 15 in fog and with the temperature at 2 degrees. It was a great walk with another excellent guide and quite fascinating to see buildings that date back hundreds of years. Now we are back on board and we have had an Irish coffee which soon warmed us through. Tonight we are off to the Chefs restaurant for a mystery dinner with up to 26 others.
