Today we met Corky and Pam at the Kansas Air Combat Museum at Forbes Field. This museum has an impressive collection of aircraft primarily from WWII and the Korean and Vietnam wars. Our tour guide was a veteran from the Korean and Vietnam Wars and Corky is a Vietnam veteran, so it was fascinating to hear their stories of how various aircraft were used in the wars. Most were of traditional Route 66 images but the last garage was all done in Disney Cars motif with Mator and Lightening McQueen! It was adorable.
