... remarkable. The stuffed mushrooms were tasty. But the fish and chips Kelly and I shared were the very best I have ever eaten. The fish was perfectly cooked in a light, crispy batter. I can't recommend this dish enough.

On our way home, we made a quick stop in Lawrence to pick up some Dutch liquorish from the French store on Massachusetts Avenue and browse the show sales at Footprints. When we arrived home, we were exhausted. It had been a really fun day!

We had the chance to go see the first practice of the year for the greatest basketball team in the land so we headed to Lawrence to check out the Kansas Jayhawks. We left Mount Vernon Illinois this morning and found the Old Route 66 Bridge going from Illinois to Missouri.  As you can see Bill wasn't sure which way to go he was between states. Off to the airport hotel and to get the hire car back ready for our flight to Dallas/Fort Lauderdale tomorrow.
