We woke up to the beautiful sunshine. We were both extremely excited to get to Capri. But then we saw Charlotte and she told us the company that was meant to be taking us on the tour around the island of Capri before we went to the grotto weren't running which meant no transfer to the port either, no real reason other than the fact they are Italian. She was on a mission to get us to us on the public bus to the port and to get us on a ferry. What was meant to happen is that we walked ...

... on tv. We took the funicular to the top of Monte Solaris and walked down through a pretty forest. Not much to tell. But what a couple of days to live and be.
All good things must come to an end, and so did our time in Anacapri. By midday on Friday we had to take our leave, Domenico driving us back to the port in reverse of our arrival. I successfully asked a policeman where to buy tickets, and we boarded another high speed ferry for ...

... Remarkably, we made it to all the stops unscathed and we thoroughly enjoyed the island and all of its wonders! We took the chairlift up to the tippity top! I bought some perfume for myself that is the scent of Capri. (Denise and Skipper) The ride back via boat was just as entertaining. ...

... our destination with 10 mins to spare and got on the ferry we wanted to Capri. The trip took around an hour and 20 mins, but that time flew as we had to pick up passengers from Positano on the way. Arriving in this beautiful village on an island was great - a number of super yachts were parked in the bay showing us that we weren't the only ones that shared a fascination with this island in the Mediterranean. Getting off the boat you ...

    ... in 14AD.
We went up the funicular to the top of the main town of Capri where we had great views of Mt Vesuvius. The tour guide organised a lunch at a café off the main drag where Susan had a fabulous mixed seafood salad and Simon had Ravioli filled with Mozzarella and a tomato sauce.
The others went off to visit Anacapri, which is in the centre of the Island whereas we went back down to the sea for a swim in the Med. The verdict was we only ...
