The lesson for the day is you don't ever want to drive around the Amalfi Coast and especially on the Isle of Capri!! Thankfully we learned that without actually driving. A bus picked us up from our hotel at 8:00 and drove, around hairpin turns and very narrow roads, to a marina to catch our ferry to Capri. And i thought that drive was nervewracking! We boarded our boat on a beautiful clear calm day and we had a smooth ride toward Capri. Our guide avoided bustling Capri marina ...

... and it was time to think about returning to Naples. We had until 6 pm to pick up our backpacks and then we ended to get a ferry. We knew that they could book out. Richard queued for the return bus and Sue poked around a few touristy shops. Eventually on one and it was full! We had to stand all the way back down the winding mountain road. As this area is famous for its lemons and it was very hot by now, we indulged in a lemon granita while we perused how ...

We shared a pizza, chatted with a couple next to us from Windsor, and again, enjoyed the view. We did find a few reasonable boutiques, and Sarah purchased a pair of purple, knit shorts. After an hour or so, we decided ...

The rain and wind of yesterday have disappeared; the sun is out and there isn't a cloud in the sky. Perfect for our trip to the Isle of Capri. We catch a small launch from Maiori to Amalfi which takes about 20 minutes. We get a great view of the coast as we speed along. Once at Amalfi we wait for the local ferry to Capri. It's about a half hour wait but Gilberto has told us not to move from the start of the line so we'll be first on and get the pick of the seats! ...

... point and decided I could sit for a few minutes at the next stopping point. Turns out that stop was at the entrance to the local cemetery. I continued on. I spent a little bit of time shopping and then caught the bus to Capri. Roamed around a little bit and went into the church. It was a great day. When I got back, Robin was vertical and thankfully hungry. We went for our last meal in Sorrento and spent a little time trying to pack our bags. We head to Naples in the ...
