We stayed in town this weekend, figured we'd catch Stuttgart's version of Oktoberfest (the second largest in Germany) before it ended. It was a quick drive from Nuremberg to Stuttgart so we decided to spend a few nights there. Stuttgart is famous for being the home of Porsche and Mercedes Benz. After a more than two hour delay in Dallas we finally took off for Germany. We arrived in Frankfort about 9:20 A.M. (3 AM to our bodies). We were met at the airport, rode a nice tour bus for two hours, had lunch (liver sausage sandwiches cucumbers and strawberries) After a tour of the town, we had a combined rehearsal with the German students and then were met by our hosts who took us home to dinner and a good night rest.

Caught a night train from Vienna and arrived in Stuttgardt in the morning. Had a great day wandering and seeing the sights. Yet another map from yet another tourist info place.
