... a bustling little location. Considering it started as an old Viking fishing village it had definitely developed into something special. Rach was impressed with her first glimpse of Europe. We walked down the promenade to the Little Mermaid Statue which was inspired by the fairy tale of the same name written by no other than Hans Christian Anderson.

... and very artsy, but it was still raining so I didn't stay for long. After that I grabbed a coffee at a local bistro and then headed back to the airport!

Once I arrived (and since I already had my boarding pass) I was able to find a spot to charge my phone so that I could find my way once I arrived in Israel. I was also able to chat with Sara for a bit, and it was very nice catching up with her!!!

Right now, I am on a flight to tel aviv ...

We left our Prague apartment this morning feeling a little tired, as it was fairly noisy last night below our windows. We were staying in Ve Smeckach, which is a street with many bars, clubs strip joints etc.

... out over the rest of the city. We did not go inside Karlskirche but visited it as a prelude to a wander through the Naschmarkt, the latter proving disappointingly modern although the food on offer was mouthwateringly tempting!

We pretty much jumped off at the first stop that seemed to be somewhere near the centre and walked through a big park and into Vienna proper.
