... every movement in the pit: it was just fantastic ... a year on a remote aboriginal community followed by 3 years on a jungle island added up to 4 years in the opera wilderness and this was a spectacular reintroduction :)

Rain was threatening, even sprinkling when we returned to the zentrum, so off to our "local" church. We'd been planning to go here since we arrived, so not before time. It was the Parish-church of St. Anthony of Padova. Constructed in 1896, it was virtually destroyed by bombing raids towards the end of WW II. An acute lack of funds was responsible for the white painted ceilings and simple decoration.
