Mykonos - this blue and white confection of a town glitters below my balcony in the bright afternoon sunshine. By day the little cube-shaped houses spill down the hill side, like sugar lumps caught in the folds of a drape, towards a perfect crescent of the white-capped, misty blue Aegean. ... Caleb and I ventured out to watch Portugal vrs France at 9:45PM. As we got to the bottoms stairs of our place Caleb quipped 'Finally a boys night out'... Not sure where that came from but funny none the less. Good atmosphere we watched France win but also Poland beat the reigning World Cup Champions Germany !!! Late night but hey.. ... the little streets, past many picturesque churches and bougainvillea covered houses to the top of the hill for a fabulous view over the bay. We found some more windmills and panoramic views and ruins of castles. We then walked around the beach, waved goodbye to Lee and went back to Little Venice for lunch overlooking the sea and windmills. The next morning many of us regrouped in the hotel lobby. Some were heading off home or on other adventures and some on a 7 day cruise. Many were also on the same 3 day cruise as me.
