31/01/14 - So as for accommodation, I'm not sure where we will be staying just yet. Once we can book our passes with Busabout, We can then book all of our accommodation through them.
Our Island hopping tour, for us, is going to be about relaxing and getting ready for our massive 5 month trip! I'm sure we will have a few nights of drinking. But I'm not a massive drinker anyway, I will prob just stay out partying without drinking.

... The island is crescent shaped 1800 feet above sea level. There was a huge volcanic eruption in 1640BC. This caused the the middle to sink leaving a caldera with high cliffs - great geological rock strata. The other big thing was the number of shops selling gold! the place was dripping with gold - yummy pieces - priced a bracelet - mere $1500 - bought 2!!!!!!!!!
We couldn't find Atlantis which is speculated to be here. On a good day Crete can be seen ...

... into smaller groups that could more easily be defended against. Mom wasn't crazy about the climbing part. So we walked all around the flat areas. I went up to the top to shoot the windmills while Mom waited in town. Then we stopped at a beach side cafe for lunch and free wifi.
