      It was another travel day, our second consecutive one, so we were eager to be over with the part of the day that involved carrying our bags. Before we left I went up to the store to buy some grapes, peaches and conditioner, everything was written in Greek but I got the gist of "2 for 1", so it ended up pretty cheap.       ... drives. We suggested going to the clothes optional beach with the girls and they were totally down. Unfortunately we had no idea where it was, took bad advice, wound up on the wrong beach, and finally just chilled there.       ... was extremely helpful and friendly and gave us lots of tips on good restaurants in the area. The view from the hotel is unbelievable! It's also on the caldera's edge, but about 5 km south of the main town. Our room was on the groundfloor leading out to the swimming pool, spacious and with gorgeous views.

      After a quick shower we fell into a deep sleep.

      If we hadn't set our alarms we probably would have slept the rest of the day. We woke at 14h00, ...

      ... the first time in 8 years. It is an excavation of an ancient city that was buried by the large volcanic eruption over 4000 years ago. The place was eerie and amazing. I can't believe they had 3 story houses and toilets back then.

      ... were on my Turkey tour, I had to ask their names again as I didnt get to know them very well at the time. anyway, it was lovely to see familiar faces and I had dinner with them and some very wicked Greek desserts.
