... but we hitched up tents, had a few beers and went to sleep. My first night sleeping in bear country was a restless one. Anyway waking up, (but did I even sleep?) at 6am was rough but we headed down to the lake to check out the sunrise. Not long after entering the park, we saw mountain goats along the side of the road. From there we climbed to the Alpine visitors centre which was just under 12000 ft high. It was ...

Our dog Hagrid loves to hike and gets so excited for our morning family outing. I sometimes think the most exciting part of his day is when Lesley gets out of bed so we can start getting ready for our walk. We have been trying to get an early start because it has been so hot here. We have reached 100 Fahrenheit several days in a row now. Lesley is loving it.
