... our knowing, had been running parallel to us all the time. Following the road, we rounded a corner and were faced with the Swallow Falls Inn, a pub, with a hygiene rating of 3, the lowest we've seen so far. As we made our way down to Swallow Falls, we were faced with the disastrous discovery of a ticket turnstile, you had to pay 1.50 for entrance. We had no money, our wallets were back in the car. Helpless, we took the road back to Betws-y-Coed, and, whether the rain just started or ...

Safely down, we descended further until Devils Kitchen - a series of relentless steps down the steep mountain side. Keen to do some more route bagging in preparation for our SPA we headed to Craig Caseg Fraith Isaf, which had lots of fairly short routes for our grades. We had a lovely sunny day and managed to get lots of routes done. After some lunch we moved on to Tryfan Bach, a nice big slab of rock taking 2 pitches to sail up. I think I placed 1 bit of gear up for the entire climb! It was so slabby you could pretty much just scramble up it hands and feet. Another good days climbing!
