The advantage of not having a connecting flight that corresponds with the time of your arrival in Doha (State of Qatar, on the Persian Gulf), is that you get hotel accommodations for the night with food vouchers and a chance to explore the city a little bit. We approach them by car but unfortunately we just spend a couple of hours by the coast only! The water is very shallow and muddy but I enjoy a long stroll which is a way of exercising.
