A beautiful sunny morning greets us as we get our wake up call at 5.30 am. Showered, dressed, & breakfast & down to our coach for a 7.15am departure for our main stop on route to Zurich -Neuschwanstein castle. Lovely scenery on route with the Bavarian Alps in the backdrop. ... Qantas Bike Box had fared well and upon closer inspection so too had the vinyl bag - just a few scuff marks but at least in one piece - phew! We unpacked the bike box, loaded the trolley and were in a taxi in remarkably quick time. What was more amazing - the bike fitted in the rear of the European five door taxi wagon just like in the promo ...
... some of the information I was after but not as much as I had hoped for. The director Dr Fister is still working there, I met him last time I visited in 2006! He was very helpful and advised me to also visit the city archives at 4 Newmarkt in the old town near the centre of Zurich where they hold the records of the city of Zurich. I was very disappointed to find they were closed when I got there because of yesterday’s holiday.
