What nobody (really) thought to be possible, has been done. I arrive at 17:00h at the same place, where I started this journey the 30.4.2006 (click here) with the same vehicle, the same rider and complete the full scale world trip across all 5 continents happiest and well ...

... quick sites and then jumped back to Switzerland, crossed through Austria for an hour or so, and bam, were back in Germany, hehe....

Now I'm at Sebastian's brother's house, where we will go to sleep soon and visit München tomorrow...

The next day we went into St Gallen with Elsa. We walked around the old city, and visited their beautiful church and main shopping centres. In the eve Heinz cooked my favorite dinner ever – Roesti!! And we watched 'Inspector Rex'.

It was time for food so we found a little cafe and had a bite to eat before tracking down my parents again. They were hungry because they had been waiting for us before they ate (oops!) so we returned to the same cafe and they had a quick meal before we returned to the car. Next stop: Austria!

We got off to a good start this morning and made our first stop in Winterthur. We walked around looking for the Old Town, and once we found it we walked around some more. We stopped for some street meat for the boys and checked out the cathedral. There are elaborate pipes ...

... on to Meersberg retracing our steps of the previous week to show all to L. We had a lunch of bruschettos in a small café in the upper town followed by an ice cream...for L's benefit of course. Back at the car park we stood for a while and watched the car ferries come and go and in particular watched the arrival of dozens of old tractors which were lining up to await a space on one of the ferries to Konstance. It was a family affair but unlike the steam engines we saw in England ...

... Gottlieben, Switzerland. One of Rick's business associates had made reservations for us at the Hotel Drachenburg. Quite a nice place! Our room seemed very French with a bidet and a chaise lounge. We had lunch there and had dinner with Helmut. I don't have the name of the restaurant, but we had possibly the best poached salmon ever!!
