... a break so took a moinor road for a while which ran along a river for most of its length. Very nice it was too. Over one of the tributary streams they built a brand new covered bridge, the only one we've seen, and luckily we just reached it as a bit of a rain shower swept overhead. Lucky or what....
From here we decided to start looking for a bed & eventually found one at the Tegernsee. Dinner last night, for those of you with an interest ...

... town and even between towns it was very slow. The whole thing took us nearly three times as long as I reckoned & we finally called it a day at 20.00 in Lindenberg at the start of the Deutsche Alpenstrasse. A quick pizza down the road rounded off the day nicely.

Tomorrow we'll ride the Alpenstrasse towards Garmish and, if I can find it, Grossglockner ;-)

Actually, with hindsight & upon mature recollection, day was a great day. Night ...

    Oktoberfest and Disney

This entry is two days overdue, but this weekend two of my roommates and I took a spontaneous trip to Munich for Oktoberfest...via a rented Fiat. How European are we? Actually, Jenny and I had planned on going originally, but train tickets would have been about 250 euro (our rail passes haven't come in yet), so I vetoed at the last minute. Jenny really wanted to go, and she and Michelle thought of renting a car, plus it helped that Jenny's ...

... likes to involve food in the bedroom foreplay also. At least on this trip we won't have any of that carry on. Basket full of goodies and wallets empty we head back to the apartment. The fridge fills up quickly, it is a typically small hotel fridge but the lack of a mini bar allows us to squeeze a little more in. Of course we've bought some beer so we settle down for a few more beers before heading off to bed. It isn't an early start the next day but we do manage to make ...

... of a saving, but when I have such little cash left, it is a worth doing. Scott and his mate Iona who both study in Cologne came to Munich for the game to see if they could get tickets. They didn't book accommodation, but that was okay, because I was happy to let them sleep on the floor of my hostel room, as were all the other Aussies in my room. It was good to have someone to hang around with during my time in Munich, because I couldn't really be bothered making new friends ...
