      ... a break so took a moinor road for a while which ran along a river for most of its length. Very nice it was too. Over one of the tributary streams they built a brand new covered bridge, the only one we've seen, and luckily we just reached it as a bit of a rain shower swept overhead. Lucky or what....
      From here we decided to start looking for a bed & eventually found one at the Tegernsee. Dinner last night, for those of you with an interest ...

      ... town and even between towns it was very slow. The whole thing took us nearly three times as long as I reckoned & we finally called it a day at 20.00 in Lindenberg at the start of the Deutsche Alpenstrasse. A quick pizza down the road rounded off the day nicely.

      Tomorrow we'll ride the Alpenstrasse towards Garmish and, if I can find it, Grossglockner ;-)

      Actually, with hindsight & upon mature recollection, day was a great day. Night ...

      ... the music. Not listening to it, mind you, but just talking about how beautiful it was. She went on for an entire piece about how great it was, only pausing intermittently to listen to a loud part and then yelling her approval.
