      ... but not all so we are slowly learning German - errr or at least the important words like Bier and Rot Weine (Beer and Red Wine).

      We took a tour of the city and learned that the city was built upon embroidery back in 612 AD by an Irish monk, Gallus (I know I'm getting into history mom - can you believe it) and the town was known to be an epicenter for knowledge, so we toured a very old Monk library with all of the original manuscripts ...

      Since we arrived in Friedrichshafen it has barely stopped snowing. Everything is now covered in a layer of snow making it look pretty magical but also making it freezing. Yesterday we went into the town to wander around and avoid driving too far, I think their sales started so there were quite a few people around. We found a café which made some delicious 'Italian white hot chocolate', which to me tasted kinda like custard but was amazing anyway.

      ... sky were the same colour and pretty much blended together it looked cool.

      After we had checked in we went for a walk and managed to find a café which was open for dinner. I got a sandwich and one of the best hot chocolates I've had in a long time. It was really nice and we will probably go back there. Once we walked back it was already dark and the snow is settling still, I think it could get pretty deep!

      ... a wander, coffee and bun sitting on the banks of the Rhine then moved on. Despite our rather pedestrian pace we still arrived at our stopover for the night, Schaffhausen, about 12:20pm. Dropped our bags and bikes and went for lunch in the rather flash mall. Being a Sunday only the food places were open. No such thing as 7 days a week trading here. They seem to survive ok without it.
