    ... It serves a traditional famous Schlosswirtschaft Schattenburg it's a Foot long Weiner Schnitzel. Served with a pickled salad or fries. Chase was up for the challenge being the meat eater he is and as you can see didn't quite get there but gave it an impressive go. It was a great setting in traditional surrounds.     Hotel in Stein am Rhein was very comfortable overnight with extra large room. Interesting breakfast.. No buffet because only 10 people staying in hotel but we could have "whatever we wanted " the temptation to request a plate of just Swiss chocolate was restrained for a very nice cheese omelette with Lynne opting for the comfort of another undercooked boiled egg ! Early morning low cloud cleared and soon opened up to lovely day for cycling .. ...

    ... me ignoring her suggestions that i should I turn off for her preferred route at numerous junctions as she then led me around a selection of car parks of office and retail units close to our chosen hotel before deciding to make a number of illegal manoeuvers to get to our destination at 01.30 some 18 hours after leaving home.     ... and Soph and Phil enjoyed sharing a sausage together. We walked around the old city which was very beautiful. It was misty and the mountains in the distance were hard to see.
    The size of the lake is enormous and in summer this area would be very busy.
