Spectacular...right on the lake with a wonderful water side dining. The lunch was very good, service was good. Room is fantastic, the lake view and patio is wonderful. Clean and quiet.

... The Archbishop had a surprise awaiting his guests as they dined al fresco. His seat of course, stayed dry. One of the most impressive was a golden conical shaped crown shot up into the air by one jet of water. It even hit the ceiling of the grotto. How to poke fun at your guests. We thoroughly enjoyed seeing many things and learning about them. Though I have seen the house from Sound of Music, i think I enjoyed seeing it even more this time. What a treat. After the bus we needed to find something else to do that didn't require much walking so we took the boat trip. It was beautiful and the ...

... If it is, I'm definitely down for round 2.

After the tour we went to Old Town and found a traditional Austrian restaurant. I don't think it could have been any more traditional since the servers wore lederhosen and weren't even kidding. We were the only non-locals in there, so everyone stared at us. We all ordered sausage and sauerkraut with spicy mustard (gotta love our committment to authentic cuisine.) Then we went to a grocery store to buy champagne, which we planned to ...

... with a heraldic lion holding it up.  Mozart was born and lived the first years of his life in this street.  His house is today naturally open for visitors so we hurried inside, also wanting to get away from the incessant rain and fierce cold.  The museum was ingeniously set up showing Mozart's memorabilia including strands of hair, buttons from his coats, his ...
