Last on reception made our stay. She was so friendly and helpful, went out of her way to fix any problems we had. Room cleaned every day with fresh towels and free bottles of water. We were located in the hillside bungalows but only 2 minutes to beach and restaurants. Room was big, bright and nicely decorated.

Was great place to stay. We chose the bungalows over the road from the beach for 500 BHT per night. We got it slightly cheaper staying 6 nights. A beautiful white and orange dog seemed to live out the front of our bungalow and would visit the bars with us, wait with us, then return us home. We loved this seeing we were missing our own dog back home. Good food! Relaxing place to chill out. Good location and fantastic beach.

    Diving on Turtle Island

    Dear Bev,

Spent a week on Koh Tao with the crazy people from Liquid Lounge Hostel on Koh Samui. A couple of us got our open water diver's certification and one went on to get her advanced. I fell in love with Koh Tao (turtle island)

We had made reservations at a hostel called Taco Shack through the hostelworld app. It was close to the pier and Sairee Beach, which had most of the 40-something dive schools on the island. Since we needed ...

... water, but at this time of year there isn't much of a beach since the tide is so high. So I decided to check it out, after all it's only 2km from the road, according to the sign. now what the sign didn't mention was that the 2km had you climbing Everest and descending again before actually getting to the beach. It as a nice beach with the great turquoise water, but those hills were. Quite the workout, especially ...

Last night we slept with the light on. There's something really strange about this place, we both kept waking up hearing strange noises, I'm really in edge so every time Matty moved it made me jump! I'm glad to be getting out of the hotel today. Had to be up and out of the hotel ready to be picked up at 6:15. One thingbyounlearn in Thailand is taxi drivers when booked are never on time so the taxi was booked for 6:15 and arrived at 6:45! Once at diving, we had breakfast ...

We wanted to hire mountain bikes as we were a bit over hiring scooters (due to hirers pulling money making scams, i.e. charging for previous damage etc) and this is a small island. Perfect place for it. Could we find them? Kind of. One we did find was shut, another the bikes too dodgy. It’s all about scooters here and ATV’s!

ATVs, all terrain vehicles. Seriously! These are actually 4 wheel motor bikes and people hire them to get ...

... Cambodia and Vietnam, was on the island at the same time so we'd meet up in the evenings for dinner and drinks with some other friends. We ate at some delicious restaurants. We had some amazing pizza and decent enough wine in one restaurant, some delicious BBQ and for Marty's last night we went to a fish restaurant. Generally I don't choose fish but as it was his last night before heading back to Bangkok to fly home I wasn't going to argue. I had some stuffed baraccuda with ...
