Last on reception made our stay. She was so friendly and helpful, went out of her way to fix any problems we had. Room cleaned every day with fresh towels and free bottles of water. We were located in the hillside bungalows but only 2 minutes to beach and restaurants. Room was big, bright and nicely decorated.

    Would stay here again

Was great place to stay. We chose the bungalows over the road from the beach for 500 BHT per night. We got it slightly cheaper staying 6 nights. A beautiful white and orange dog seemed to live out the front of our bungalow and would visit the bars with us, wait with us, then return us home. We loved this seeing we were missing our own dog back home. Good food! Relaxing place to chill out. Good location and fantastic beach.

Our next stop for our final week was Ko Pha Ngan, where I'd been recommended a secluded beach away from the craziness of the Full Moon parties. The only way to get to the beach was via a little boat, and they insist on waiting until there are a few people to make the journey worthwhile. They also make you jump out of the boat into the knee deep …

... the resort butted onto, occupied with bungalows spread out everywhere.

While we were sitting there waiting to get ready a couple (who I assumed were Russian, especially the guy) were on the beach taking photos. Firstly him taking photos of her, then couple in love photos on the beach/in water! Guy was big and tall, a bit over weight, she was a really skinny, tanned beach babe. She was acting like a model if she wasn’t one already. Always adjusting ...

... a large one, basic but with a fridge, for 12000baht for the month. Steph got a small one for half the price. No aircon, but it's clear we won't get it on our budget. There are windows though, that helps!! We agreed to move tomorrow- and as Ru was so much better went to the beach. We spent the next 4 hours or so there. The water is so shallow you can walk out at least 150 meters. The dogs come out to chase the fish in ankle deep water. It was a lovely way to ...

On Sa**************ed out after a sleep in to explore the town a bit. It is a lively place here and definitely has the backpacker vibe going on. We are staying at Mae Hat beach which is where the main part of town is. Koh Tao is the most famous place in Thailand for learning to dive. Since we are at the end of our trip and on a tight budget we will be giving it a miss (and let's face it, ...

... There was a western restaurant just down the road, which ordinarily, I wouldn't have wanted to go to, but with the standard of the Thai food that we had found so far in Ko Tao, I was willing to give it a go. As it turned out, it was a good choice. It may be a little uncivilised to have steak and chips in Thailand, but it was an awesome steak!

As was becoming habit, we finished off our night with, you guessed it....a few beers in reef bar! ...
