Last on reception made our stay. She was so friendly and helpful, went out of her way to fix any problems we had. Room cleaned every day with fresh towels and free bottles of water. We were located in the hillside bungalows but only 2 minutes to beach and restaurants. Room was big, bright and nicely decorated.

Was great place to stay. We chose the bungalows over the road from the beach for 500 BHT per night. We got it slightly cheaper staying 6 nights. A beautiful white and orange dog seemed to live out the front of our bungalow and would visit the bars with us, wait with us, then return us home. We loved this seeing we were missing our own dog back home. Good food! Relaxing place to chill out. Good location and fantastic beach.

... too pricey and had some lunch. Most of the time in Khao Lak was spent relaxing by the pool, listening to music and eating. Daytimes i went for a walk saw some of the souvenir shops but swam alot as the pool was really nice. In the evening we stocked up on beer and snacks and played cards on the terrace before getting ready for dinner. Khao Lak was not busy at all. One night we went yo a bar had some good cocktails but it was just so quiet. The ...

... we made it across the channel to the Island we had to pay our parking fee for the kayak of a 100 Baht and enjoyed the beach. It was pretty busy there, although all the other people arrived via speed boats or ferries.

Another chance for some further snorkeling ( I had to cancel a potential dive trip for the day as my left ear had some problems equalizing the pressure and hurt a bit).

... pretty quiet, however I often stayed and chatted with an auzzie who was good company.
I really wanted to go to see the Cabaret show at Sairee beach one night, so at dinner I saw 3 English girls and hit on them ;) so to speak. persuading them to come with me for company. And we had a great time! We carried on meeting up for the rest of the week, fine dining on the last night with a fish bbq overlooking an incredible sunset. And the cabaret show. well. pure ...

... water with ease which called for a big night out on Koh Tao. Tim was instrumental in this as us boys had booked up on an advanced open water course early the next day and with out his help we would of never made it. With his help and the fact that he himself hadn't had a night out in an age we managed to put our course back a day and still dive with Tim. This involved a slightly drunk talk about or south east Asia schedule and Tim breaking into the office to change the next ...

... I hardly noticed any fish until right near the end! The 2nd dive was so much more relaxed and the visibility was a lot better we saw so many fish out in the bay over one of the many coral reefs there are there, it was so so cool!! We had to do different emergency exercises on the sea bed, one where we had to take our mask off and take our own breathing line out ...
