Sadly we leave a wet Hoi An this morning, everybody enjoyed their stay here where it is so relaxing and easy going. On the plane now heading for Saigon for the last few days of our holiday. The hotel we stayed at was so nice, the people running it so helpful especially when Pam was ill and we all abandoned her for shopping. I would recommend it to …

I had porcelain cups as my instrument and was not very delicate with my playing and seemed to smash my cups rather than chime them as instructed - I think they have double jointed wrists. * Friday 8th august Last day of exploring the city. It was made a bit harder due to lack of sleep, as we had to create our own beds, and the lack of breakfast each day. How Alex did it for 6 weeks I will never know, he ended up building himself a tree house to love in, I suspect to get away from Thuy! who seemed to always want people to sleep in her bed! and to talk ...

    Cu Chi tunnels

... around at the entrance for no discernable purpose, we then rushed along, all trying to keep up with the guide's tight schedule. Hiring the scooter was already seeming a good choice.
First up was a video explaining the role of the tunnels in the Vietnam war, which included footage from the war and a (rather biased) commentary on the brave actions of the Viet Cong guerillas against ...
