      Luxury and service in a beautiful hotel

      The pool grounds. Lobby, rooms and amenities were excellent. The services of the staff were wonderful.

      Bangkok Airways flight 701 Depart 8:50 AM Arrive Yangon 9:40 AM 1 hour and 20 minutes flight time. 11 hours and 30 minutes ahead of EST Move clocks back 30 minutes. That's right Myanmar is in its own time zone! Wake up call at 5:30 AM. Breakfast at 6. Boarded our bus to the airport at 6:45. Usual drill of check in, drop bags, security, passport …

Whereas the female part of the population in Malaysia seems subtly subdued, the confidence and smiles of women with raised heads and fitted dresses here was nice to observe.       ... only cost 300 kyat (roughly $0.30) which seems like a bargain, and the train carriages are big and completely open with wooden benches down each side. It’s an interesting experience, seeing something of the local life in the city and, near the mid-point, actually getting out into the countryside north of Yangon.       ... faces which is a cream to protect from sun and keep skin soft. It is also different seeing monks wondering the streets. There are pink robed lady monks or nuns and then red robed male monks. Every morning the monks walk the streets and sing a chant looking for donations. The people here are so friendly and helpful.       ... the day the templeīs floor is normally so hot that itīs almost impossible to walk on it without shoes which every visitor must leave at the entrance.
