What a Brilliant Holiday!

... Maybe the food is repetitive, maybe there is only entertainment every other night but overall this holiday was the best holiday me and my girlfriend have ever been on. I would recommend this hotel to anyone, the one thing i dont recommend is flying with thomas cook... So please dont be put off by the bad reviews all the snobs have wrote because the holiday is what you make it and the hotel helped us make this holiday fantastic!

What a wonderful little peninsula on the Mediterranean. This town has it all. Lots of restaurants, bars, and shops, but also beaches and lots of ruins. Our room at the Hotel Lale Park was a little small, but we had a great time here.

... moving experience. Then we went to the 'old city' of Antalya at the harbor. After walking an awfully long way down a winding narrow stone street, by shops and a Mosque we arrived at the rather small harbor, turned around and made our way back up in the heat. Once at the top we had a chance to take a break, do some shopping, and catch our breath. From there we boarded the bus and went to the Duden river and its waterfalls- an absolutely ...

A long, tiring day of tourism

... and postcards and other junk. I was amused to see low-end bellydance outfits, but no, I didn't buy any of them. After that stop, went further up the river valley. Lots of nice scenery, cool mountains and stuff. Also, bits and pieces here and there of the old Roman aqueducts that used to carry water from the mountains down to the city of Side on the coast. That was one of my favorite parts of the ...

An Easy Relaxing Do Nothing Kind Of Day

... I should be ticking things off some imaginary list that I compile which invariably involve hiking or scrambling (definetely an expenditure of effort is required) to see some off the beaten track sight or ruin. But Ill console myself by saying that this sort of a day is necessary to act as a buffer zone every now and again - and by going to visit Termessos - which is some ancient ruins of the beaten track tommorow! Ok so another rest day for TIPO. Cheers Wadirunner.

Olympos - School's Out For Summer

... Not many people actually seem to venture beyond the pathway views, happily paying their $2 anyway just to use the beach. The sand here, like most European beaches, is filled with cigarette butts. I simply can not understand the stupidity of these people. Do they not realise it is rubbish? Do they not realise it is polluting the beach? Do they not realise they end up in the water? You do not have to be a Rocket Scientist, or Vet Scientist for that matter, to realise it ...
