Now I have time to chill and have a holiday in Bali before having to get a job and start saving and planning for the next big adventure, which should hopefully be at the end of 2010. I will be running the next part of ‘My Travels’ blog under ‘Living Down Under’ and will do monthly updates on my progress and keep you posted on future travel plans.

Brockmoor, England, to Brisbane, Australia, in 68 Days.

Cheers!

Back to reality - summary of highlights

... wasn’t an actual place or thing but catching up with all our friends around the world and meeting new friends and Rosa’s family around Croatia, Germany and London. Except for a few hitches with United and some stuff ups by Flight centre with Rosa’s flights we had a relatively trouble free holiday and considering we were gone for 9 weeks I think that is amazing. ... an old Sleaford school friend) and ended up doing Tambuca shots in Cha Cha Char's whilst singing about plum trees, gum trees and clothes lines out the back. We spent that day avoiding the rain and doing a bus tour. Brisbane is Australia's 3rd largest city and there really is not actually that much to see... we realised this when our bus tour guide got very excited about bus terminals and walking paths. But we did get up to see the view from Mt ...

... by a couple of goals, so we headed back to our local for a few celebratory pots (Queensland small pints). Our local by the way was situated above our hostel, which made for a very noisy first night in Brisbane, so buoyed by our mega win against the West Coast Eagles we joined in on the noise the second night and so got a less interrupted nights sleep. Next stop is Hervey Bay for our trip to Fraser Island

The frequent City Cat ( river ...
