Historical Traveler Reviews Seaview Patong Hotel

    Fantastic

    from

This hotel was right at the very end of the resort, right on the font. It had two lovely pools with various waterfalls, water features etc. The rooms were large with balconies and large bathrooms. We were provided with beach towels, a beach bag, free safe, robes, slippers etc. The rooms were cleaned every day and had a 'green' approach as in they would only clean your towels and bedding of you asked them to. Breakfast was a banquet with everything imaginable to chose from. The staff were really attentive and nothing was a problem to them. Although at the very end of the resort it was only seconds from bars and restaurants thought Bangla road was about a 15 minute walk. I would recommend this hotel especially when walking around you see the alternatives!! Unless you can afford to move up a price bracket I'd take the Seaview anyday.

    Super hôtel

    from

    from

Lovely hotel very close to the beach

    from

We stayed at this hotel in October 06 and absolutely loved it. It is practically right on the beach and within easy walking distance of shops, markets, restaurants etc. The pool area is very nice and the food served at the various restaurants was excellent. We found the staff to be very friendly. We would definitely stay there again.

    Nice location, great Hotel, BUT...........

    from

We stayed at the Seaview on a 10 night package. We had been to Phuket in 2001 and loved it but post Tsunami it isnt the same. The hotel itself is fantastic. There are a couple of rooms with no view at all so be sure to request a seaview room. The pool is a definate highlight.Breakfast was nice but not outstanding, the staff were fantastic. the other guy in the earlier review was right, the beds are VERY hard. But it was good value for money. Phuket tho is not cheap anymore and Baan Ram Pah was VERY expensive, over US$ 100 per person. Last Time we were there it was about US$20> As a result we ate alot at the restaurant in the hotel. They give you loads of discount vouchers and the set menu was outstanding.

Trips out for the day are also expensive, over $50 a person, and even a tuk tuk along the main road starts at $ 3. considering its a bit of a walk and it was very hot, that adds up quickly. We stopped off in Singapore along the way and it was FANTASTIC> Im sorry to say that in spite of the great hotel, Phuket wont see me again.

    Seaview hotel - patong

    from

Lovely hotel, good location opp the beach and away from the busy side of town but within walking distance. Rooms nice and clean, all pretty new (after the tsumani),plenty of loungers available around the pool, hotel staff very friendly, breakfast room is at the front of the hotel so you can look out across the sea, (food was good and reasonably priced) - i would, without a doubt, stay at this hotel again!

    The burro

    from

Nice hotel but the beds are like sleeping on a rock. Breakfast is just average like most hotels seem to be serveing. Nice location on the South end of the beach.

Best of both worlds in Patong

    from

This is a superb hotel, the great thing is it's located on Patong Seafront but right at the end of the beach so you are in a quiet and relaxed position yet only a 5 minute walk to the shops and nightlife.

The hotel itself was superb value for money. Booked through a company called Q Holidays who seemed to be the cheapest & for a small supplement we got a room which you can swim up to and out of. A great way to start the day !

Lovely staff, clean & fresh rooms. Will definately return !!

... mango! Then we got cleaned up and went out of the resort to the market. Adam and I are corn in a cup, ribs, mango icees and then yummy sticky rice. We bought some water out because it is so expensive at the resort. Also sunblock which was $10us for a tiny tube! And then just like the last 3 nights icecream cones at the 7/11! Now for some rest, tomorrow we are going on a boat tour of some ...

... the water anywhere on that beach be prepared to get rocked by the waves. Kaya lost her glasses and I cant tell you how many times avery and I got thrown on the shore by crashing waves from the water.

Avery enjoyed himself as he had plenty of shade to play in the sand in. Kaya had plenty of sun to tan. Nia and I tried to sleep and rest most of the time. Perfect ...

We got up and headed to the beach for another relaxing day. After avoiding all the time share touts we found Molly Malones pub which was doing a fry up for 100 baht. We found our usual spot on the beach and crashed out for the day. The sky looked dull but the sun was really hot and the breeze was great. We pigged out on corn, prawns and chicken again and fresh fruit shakes from the bar. Every so often the guys would come round ...

... it’s all of that kind of stuff that makes traveling so rewarding but it was nice to be able to just drop our guard for a while.

I think this is why I found it so funny to see a very flustered women on the little bus that would take us to where we would check out. It seemed she was horrified at the prospect of being late for lunch. I guess that’s an issue when you have nothing else to worry about.

Anyway back to the old routine it’s not luxury but I do love it.

... and the perfect temperature. The boat anchored in the middle and we all just jumped in. Jack and Brad jumped off the front of the boat. Floating around in the water was the best! Unfortunately we had to leave to go to the last stop, Maya Bay, which was the famous beach from the movie, The Beach. Coming into the bay was so rough that the boat was getting thrown around a bit. It had to drive up the beach to drop us off and then go out further to anchor ...
