This was Irish Mike, a lovely man from Belfast, who took me under his wing, and basically hooked me up with a 1991 Toyota Corolla, $2800 + tax and registration, lowest price I could get off him.
I checked a few insurance companies, and for a non-US citizen, the cheapest I could get full insurance was $750 for 6 months.
Paperwork took about 3 days to sort out, and then I was on the road!

We drove around the space needle a number of times, by some interesting museums of all different subject matter from glass to music and art to science. John took us past the famous Pike Place Market (our first stop for tomorrow) and past some buildings that caught his eye. A few different points during the ride I know I fell asleep... I don't think I was the only one.

It’s getting close to 6pm, and we know sunset is approaching, so we decide to head back to the Space Needle and experience sunset from up top. We grab some food up here as well, knowing full well we are paying tourist prices (but hey, we’re tourists!). It’s quite relaxing up here, and it’s nice to while away ...
