... my skirt but when I turned around she gave me the 'finger'. Nice children they breed round these parts. It was a long hot walk but we stopped for a drink at this hotel where Queen Victoria had a secret rendezvous with a Sri Lankan man so we were told so we went for a walk through but like so many places the building aren't well maintained ... Such a pity. Had shared lunch of whole fish in garlic and garlic ...

... and stamped it!

On the way to the B&B, we could see a huge difference in the scenery from India to Sri Lanka. Sri Lanka had a more Caribbean feel to it. Instead of large statues of Buddha or Ganesh, now we saw large statues of Jesus! Apparently, the Portuguese converted the entire local population of this region to Christianity before the British forced them out. About 90% of the region is Catholic.

We finally arrived at our B&B at 2:30, hot and ...

... your lungs and stuck to out clammy skin, which in turn was again hand fed at great risk into this spiralling metal pipes that twisted it into tight rope, that they export and use locally for pretty much everything.. We also saw a rice & chilli complex and the chilli gave us massive coughing fits, so they hastened us out of there and onto a coconut oil producing small business.

Won't bore you with any more details but essentially a day ...

... with the float between the legs as no pull buoys available. Unfortunately the lightning then started so it wasn't safe for us to continue. All the boys said they had had a good lesson. It's so nice to see them so keen and they went back in the water. Even trying to teach some of the basic stroke work is hard as they really don't seem to understand English, the coach doesn't understand much either but really wants to help and will try and understand what we are ...
