      Sadly the first trip has now come to an end.
      The end hotel is in a nice peaceful setting, palm trees, on a beach, but someway out of town. My room even came with a cat, it was fast asleep on my balcony chair.

      Before catching the flight back to Kota Kinabulu, we visited one of the sites where 2500 prisoners of war were held by the Japanese in WWII in Sandakan primarily to build an airfield.
