We ordered some food and a very big jug of ale and cider to enjoy whilst lapping up the scenery. Not a bad afternoon at all! The wind started to pick up so we just went back to the motel after lunch to catch up on all our outstanding admin, research, expenses etc. Yep.. travelling is not all fun and games!!

Her first child, Mary Elizabeth was born in 1870 in Newark, New Jersey, as was my grandfather, James Francis Harley, in 1873. Then, their third child, Annie, was born in 1875. Where? New Jersey? No, Missouri!. Their last son, Bernard John, was born in 1878, back in New Jersey, this time in Bayonne. Now why did they go to Missouri? I'll ...

... and the bottom of your feet get sore. Weird, but a lot of fun and something we will definitely do again. Then we walked to the end of Santa Monica Pier to Big Dean's to have a drink and a snack. Dave used to hang out there in the 'old' days(70's) when it was called Big Dean's Muscle In and 16 oz. beers were $.50!! Times have definitely changed but ...
