It was a rainy drive from Fayetteville, NC to Isle of Palms, SC. Some parts were more rainy than others but despite the downpour on I-26, I made it here safely.

Of course, I stopped at South of the Border on the way. I just can't drive by without stopping because clearly, that would be wrong.

The beaches here are like a giant parking lot at low tide, which makes for ideal walks and bike rides. Isle of Palms and Sullivan's Island are small enough that everything is within "beach cruiser" distance, including Poe's tavern (named after Edgar Allen) with its great burgers, Taco Mamacitas with one of the best fish tacos we've ever had (blackened mahi mahi, jalapeno corn slaw, grilled pineapple, cilantro, ...

"Seaworthy" was another attempt at depicting an old guy, which seems to be a recurring theme. This one was done in Ocean City, while still dreaming of that rockfish slaughter we were going to have. Turns out my brother slaughtered about 8 forty pounders three days after we left.
