After our short stop in Seward we pressed on to see the rest of the Kenai Peninsula. This day was the second drive day on which it was raining: we were being very lucky with the weather. ... a long drive, the rain started to taper off as we drove along the Kenai River This is one of the most popular Salmon fishing rivers in Alaska. It also has a very distinct color as a result of the glacial silt in the water.

We eventually make it to Homer and as we enter town we see the mountains and the waters of Cook Inlet and Kachemak Bay.

We are settled in an RV Park with our Winnie looking straight out at Kachemak Bay! ...

Off to something more refined, we headed back to the mainland to visit Bear Creek Winery and sample some of their fruit wines. A couple of nice ones. I liked the peach and apricot but you wouldn't want to drink a whole glass of any of them really. Nice outlook over the bay here and as it had cleared up a bit we could see those glaciers Jeff is pining for. Also humongous big bummed bumble bees buzzing around the garden. ...
