... bus and a quick Maccas stop was the only option which seemed to suit a few of us. The trip back was through Beverly Hills and up Rodeo Drive with a quick look at some of the priciest stores all in one place. It was beautifully lit up and there wasn't a blade of grass out of place. Throughout the week since our arrival in LA we had been trying to contact Dave's dear friends who he had stayed with last time he was in the US - David and Lois Tingler. This was the one ride that I wouldn't recommend. Possessed looking dolls started down apon you as they repeated the words of the catch their famous song, time and time again. I song after having taken part in this ride that I could be seen used as a torture technique. One thing that did amuse me was as we passed the ...

First day in LA. Had decided to not rush this morning.
First task was finding the hotel restaurant for breakfast, layout of the hotel was a bit confusing, got out on the wrong fellow which didn't help. G stands for garden not for ground floor. Have now learned to press L for Lobby.

Managed to get out on the wrong floor again when I left for the day, discovered the rather lovely garden they have ...
